TESTIMONIALS

Don't take my word for it...

Testimonials: Reviews

"From 2014 to the present, I have had the pleasure to collaborate with Luka Sharron on the creation of original student tutorials.  I edited and wrote the content for Language Arts, Civics, and U.S. History tutorials, the majority of which were narrated by Luka.   Whenever I would go to do my final review on a near-finished tutorial and hear Luka’s voice come out of the speakers, I knew the final product would be an outstanding one!   Luka somehow finds the perfect tone for speaking to young people: engaged without being “cheesy,” serious without being “boring,” and always clear and comprehensible, even when tasked with delivering challenging vocabulary or syntax.  In every case, his narration elevated the final product and made it as good as I had hoped—or imagined.  The highest complement I can pay Luka is to say that when I hear him deliver the lines that I wrote—even sentences that are long and complex—they come out sounding exactly the way they existed my head when I wrote them!  It’s been a pleasure and an honor to have such a talented, dedicated, collaborator on this project."

"In our work together on educational tutorials, Luka Sharron was a critical partner in the creation of engaging content for students at the elementary level. He was able to capture the tone, timing, and purpose of each tutorial. As the elementary mathematics content developer, I always felt confident that Luka's calm and encouraging narration would provide the guidance needed for each student to move through the mathematical teachings and practice slides. His commanding voice supported students to their eventual success throughout the duration of each tutorial. It truly was a pleasure to work with Luka and I always knew that any work completed by him would be of the highest quality."

"In this age of eLearning, the best resources are those that provide solid instruction, multiple and varied opportunities for practice, with targeted and informative feedback. But no matter how accurate the content, or how well-sequenced the instruction, or how rigorous the practice, without an engaging narrator even the most well-designed and visually appealing eLearning modules will fall flat. Students are sharp critics, and if a tutorial doesn’t have just the right narration that will hook them into using the product, they will quickly move on to something else. Those concerns, however, become null and void when Luka Sharron takes on the role of narrator. Luka’s clear, distinct, and engaging voice instantly grabs students from the very first slide. As students work through practice exercises, his encouraging tone keeps students uplifted and motivated, especially when they respond to a question incorrectly. Luka also adeptly uses his skills to establish any number of moods based on the content of the tutorial. Whether it be a somber mood as he leads students into the worlds of Charles Dickens, George Orwell, or Kate Chopin; to determined and thoughtful with the words of FDR or Abraham Lincoln; to passionate and hopeful with verses by Shakespeare and Wordsworth; to suspenseful and haunting as he takes students into the dystopian future of Ray Bradbury, Luka can do it all. His keen attention to detail lends itself to top quality narration across subject areas, even during fast-paced work with tight deadlines. From food webs, to cubes and volume, to how bills become a law, to the Vietnam War, Luka can create just the right sound for any subject, or for any age of student."

Luka is pretty much the definition of the perfect co-worker. He is responsible for narrating the tutorials I have developed from storyboards. I give him a spreadsheet that I export Easy-peasy from my end, no? Well, not always. Lines can be deleted, the odd misspelling lurks, the slide could be mislabeled. Luka has not only graciously sorted these problems out, but does so cheerfully and graciously. And his narration is a thing of beauty. Regardless of the subject matter or grade, his voice is clear and fluent. He is diligent in finding out how to narrate math equations and big bad biology words. He makes my work sound great, and the job more fun."
